【摘要】:1.1Thisdescriptivenomenclatureisintendedtogiveaccuratedescriptionsofsomecommonorimportantnaturallyoccurringandsyntheticconstituentsofaggregatesforradiation-shieldingconcrete,that,atthesametime,arenotcommonorimportantconstituentsofconcreteaggregatesingeneraluse.Whilemostofthemineralsandrocksdiscussedbelowmayoccurinsmallquantitiesinaggregatesingeneraluse,theyarenotmajorconstituentsofsuchaggregates.CommonconstituentsofaggregatesingeneralusearedescribedinDescriptiveNomenclatureC294.Radiation-shieldingconcreteoftencontainssuchaggregates,butotherspecialaggregatesareusedinsomecircumstances.1.2Thesyntheticaggregatesincludedareferrophosphorusandboronfrit.1.3Thedescriptionsarenotadequatetopermittheidentificationofmaterials,sinceaccurateidentificationofnaturalandsyntheticaggregateconstituentsinmanycasescanonlybemadebyaqualifiedgeologist,mineralogist,orpetrographer,usingtheapparatusandproceduresofthosesciences.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.
