【摘要】:TheproceduresinTestMethodsD2969forthedeterminationofthepropertiesofsteeltirecordandrelatedmaterialsareconsideredsatisfactoryforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsofsuchproductsbecausetheproceduresarethebestavailableandhavebeenusedextensivelyinthetrade.Whenapurchaserfrequentlyusesaspecificsupplier,itisrecommendedthatthetwopartiesinvestigatethemethodstodetermineifthereisanybiasbetweentheirtwolaboratoriesasdirectedin5.1.1.Incaseofadisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultswhenusingthistestmethodforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,thepurchaserandthesuppliershouldconductcomparativeteststodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweentheirlaboratories.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfortheinvestigationofbias.Asaminimum,thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimensthatareashomogeneousaspossibleandthatarefromalotofmaterialofthetypeinquestion.Testspecimensshouldthenberandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.Theaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingtheappropriatestatisticalanalysisandanacceptableprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartiesbeforetestingisbegun.Ifbiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrectedorthepurchaserandthesuppliermustagreetointerpretfuturetestresultswithconsiderationtotheknownbias.Thesignificanceanduseofparticularpropertiesarediscussedintheappropriatesections.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthetestingofcordsmadefromsteelthatarespecificallydesignedforuseinthereinforcementofpneumatictires.Byagreement,thesetestmethodsmaybeusedtotestsimilarcordsorfilamentsusedforreinforcingotherrubberproducts.Thesteelcordsmaybewoundonspoolsorbeams.Thesteelcordsmayalsobewovenintofabric,inwhichcasetheymustberemovedfromthefabricpriortotesting.Note18212;Forothermethodsoftestingtirecordsandtirecordfabrics,refertoMethodsD885,TestMethodsD1871,Specifications,andTestMethodsD2692andD2970/D2970M.Fortolerancesontirecordsandtirecordfabrics,refertoSpecificationsandMethodsD885.1.2Thesetestmethodsincludetestproceduresonly;theydonotestablishspecificationsortolerances.
